On June 25, at Bujumbura, Evangelism Explosion Burundi (EE Burundi) held a meeting with Implementation Field Workers representing seven denominations that have signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the Ministry. The gathering brought together partner representatives from the Anglican Church-Bujumbura Diocese, God's Way Church, the Free Baptist Church of Burundi (Eglise Baptiste Libre du Burundi), the Union of Baptist Churches of Burundi (Union des Eglises Baptistes du Burundi), the Burundi Assemblies of God Fellowship, the Free Methodist Church (Eglise Méthodiste Libre), and El Shaddai Church.

This partnership reflects a growing movement across Burundi's churches: a shared conviction that the work of evangelism is strongest when carried out together. Each of these seven denominations has formally committed to walking alongside EE Burundi in equipping believers to share their faith with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen a shared understanding of the partnership between EE Burundi and its partner churches, by orienting denominational field Workers on their roles, responsibilities, and the mechanisms for coordination between the ministry and each denomination.

. “The Denominational Field workers serve as the vital link between EE Burundi and their denominations, ensuring that trainings are well-organized, that communication flows clearly in both directions, and that each denomination's involvement is intentional rather than incidental.” Says the National Director Diomède Hakizimana.

Discussions during the meeting centered on practical coordination: how trainings will be scheduled and supported at the denomination level, how progress will be reported back to EE Burundi, and how they can strengthen the evangelism ministry within their denominations.

The participants greatly appreciated this meeting, as it provided them with a clear understanding of the operational framework outlined in the memorandums of understanding signed between EE Burundi and the legal representatives of their respective denominations.

As Denominational field workers grow in their understanding of EE Burundi's vision and mission, the ministry anticipates a far greater impact from this year's trainings, equipping local churches to carry the work of evangelism forward with clarity and shared purpose. With seven denominations now united around the same mission, EE Burundi is hopeful that this collaboration will not only deepen the impact of existing trainings but also serve as a testimony that draws additional denominations to join us in the future.

Join us in prayer so that God will use these committed workers in this mission and draw even more denominations into this collaborative work of bringing the lost back to Him.

Evangelism Explosion Burundi exists to glorify God in equipping believers to multiply in and through local churches through friendship, evangelization, discipleship, and healthy growth.
